Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and motivation to improving South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) services for the duration of an engagement using the agency's senior professionals at a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled within the 2024 matric examinations.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% with the registered pupils while in the schooling sector.
These learners attained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
